The Method / Phase 1
01
Weeks 1–4 · Toward 25 - building your core family

Vision & Foundation

Establish a clear, God-inspired vision and lay the groundwork - incorporating contextualized ministry and digital readiness.

What to do in this phase

4 key steps

These are the same items you can check off in your progress tracker.

Define your vision with SMART goals

Prayerfully discern your church's mission, values, and unique calling, tailored to your community. Write a concise vision statement and set Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound goals (e.g. "Reach 20 core team members by Week 4").

Try this: Host a 2-hour prayer and brainstorming session with potential leaders.

Build a core team with diverse skills

Recruit 5–10 committed individuals, including digital-savvy members for online outreach. Interview for spiritual maturity and complementary skills (tech, hospitality, music).

Try this: Use social media and personal networks to invite; aim for a balanced team ready for hybrid ministry.

Choose a strategic location & digital presence

Identify a community with real needs; secure a hybrid space (physical venue + online platform). Stand up a basic website and social profiles.

Try this: Research demographics via local surveys; set up your site and socials before you launch.

Develop a launch plan with a budget

Set a launch date and create a realistic budget including digital tools and ads. Outline expenses and fundraising (online giving).

Try this: Plan for a buffer - overestimate costs by 10–20%.

What good looks like

  • Core team of 5–10 members
  • 100% vision alignment among the team
  • Launch date set and budget approved
  • Website + social profiles live
